Lucid Design Group featured in 'Parsing Information in the Google Era' on Forbes.com

March 31, 2010

New York, NY - Forbes.com article, titled "Parsing Information in the Google Era: Creating personal connections to data can help you absorb and filter information," features an interview with Lucid's CEO Michael Murray about Building Dashboard®. From the article:

In the era of continuous connection to too much information, it is not just what you know, it is also the way that you know it. That is the message of a new book from a former Google exec, and also how a lot of Web-enabled businesses seem to succeed.

"Hundreds of schools do this to try and save energy, and build habits that will last once students leave school. The problem is, they do it with students running around with clipboards," says founder and chief executive Michael Murray. By keeping information nearly immediate, and posting comparisons with other groups on a digital screen in the lobby, he says, "we shorten the time lag, and they see the cause and effect of their behavior against others." Murray hopes to have a competition among 30 schools this November.
