Lucid Design Group wins California Clean Tech Open

San Francisco, CA - The California Clean Tech Open (CCTO) announced the winners of its second annual clean technology business plan competition to a standing room-only gathering at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Among the grand prize winners was Lucid Design Group.
Six companies in six categories (Air, Water & Waste, Energy Efficiency, Green Building, Renewables, Smart Power and Transportation) each won $100,000 in cash and business services. Lucid secured the Smart Power Award sponsored by AMD for their Building Dashboard® real-time resource use feedback system.
The CCTO event, designed to speed clean technologies from lab to market, highlights the growing interest in the clean tech space and its essential role in finding smart solutions to the effects of climate change. "I think of you as environmental heroes," said Noah Horowitz, NRDC senior scientist. "You are our pipeline to a more sustainable world."
The California Clean Tech Open is an independent effort by entrepreneurs, researchers, environmentalists, investors and others to create economic growth and environmental sustainability by sparking a clean technology cluster in California.
