Company profile

Lucid Design Group, Inc. is a privately held cleantech software company, founded in 2004, and a pioneer in providing real-time information feedback to teach, inspire behavior change and save energy and water resources in buildings. Over the past six years, Lucid's team has endeavored to make resource use visible, accessible and engaging so that building occupants have the data visualization and communication tools to manage and reduce their consumption.

Today, tens of thousands of people live and work in schools, companies, community and commercial buildings and homes enhanced by Lucid's web-based, award-winning Building Dashboard® technology. Building Dashboard® Network™ -- the fourth generation of Lucid's Building Dashboard line of products and the first social network for buildings -- allows people to view, compare and share building energy and water use information on the web. Real-time feedback provided by Building Dashboard® has been shown to effectively reduce consumption on the order of 10-56%. Lucid was the first to provide socially-contextualized energy and water use information on the web, allowing people to connect personal electricity, water and natural gas consumption with the actions and events that take place within buildings. Lucid also pioneered the concept of real-time energy and water reduction competitions. Lucid's patent-pending software has received awards from U.S. EPA, National Wildlife Federation, California Cleantech Open and U.S. Green Building Council.
