Founded in 2004, Lucid Design Group, Inc. ("Lucid") is a privately held cleantech software company and a pioneer in providing real-time information feedback to teach, inspire behavior change and save energy and water resources in buildings. Over the past seven years, Lucid's team has endeavored to make resource use visible, accessible and engaging so that building occupants have the data visualization and communication tools to manage and reduce their consumption.
Today, tens of thousands of people live and work in schools, companies and homes enhanced by Lucid's award-winning technology. Building Dashboard® Network -- a fourth-generation product and the first social network for buildings -- allows people to view, compare and share building energy and water use information on the web. Building Dashboard® Kiosk enables occupants and visitors to view resource use information on touchscreen displays.
Building Dashboard can be found across North America and abroad, where it is used to motivate and empower employees to achieve energy reduction goals; engage students in energy reduction competitions across residence halls; identify ways to improve the efficiency of buildings and save money on utility bills; and publicly demonstrate the commitment many forward-looking companies have made to stewardship of the planet's resources.

Real-time feedback provided by Building Dashboard has been shown to effectively reduce consumption on the order of 10-56%. Lucid was the first to provide socially-contextualized energy and water use information on the web, allowing people to connect personal electricity, water and natural gas consumption with the actions and events that take place within buildings.
Lucid pioneered the concept of real-time energy and water reduction competitions. In 2010, Lucid hosted the first real-time, nationwide building energy and water use reduction competition in history, Campus Conservation Nationals. Our patent-pending software has received pretigious awards from Adobe, U.S. EPA, National Wildlife Federation, California Cleantech Open and U.S. Green Building Council.
